CQFV [what it is necessary to see] :

  • 8 US firms in 20 first ones
  • 4 Fr firms in 23 first ones

The sectors of activities are distribution, oil, car, bank and insurance in other words no computer science / telecommunications. For information AT&T (US telecommunications) is 29th, HP is 41th and Microsoft is 136th.

For comparison the budget national of France (which is not another firm) is from 355 200 Md€ [Wikipedia] the 4th worldwide is …

And you stop yourself what ?

  1. I keep it that is missing an analysis;-) (yes I know, I am malicious)

2 first are first two worldwide capitalisation, it has nothing amazing therefore since these are total firms.
What is more amazing, it is to see that distribution too much did not suffer from crisis for the moment and that banks generate still a lot "Come back " (include turnover, ongoing contracts). It is therefore that these last lose a lot of money on their investments and that crisis does not make weaken the confidence of firms and individuals to put their money in the banking establishments. (i.e. All grannies do not have slip their tickets under the mattress instead of putting them in the bank.)
Both French first ones copy the worldwide classification, these are the biggest capitalisation.
Very amazing, the presence of General Motors there n°9 while the firm puts the key under the door. Voices of capitalism are almost impenetrable …
Appearance also from ConocoPhillips who uses fusion well.
This being said, it is about the classification by turnovers and not by result (or benefit). Some of these firms are among the least profitable. Roughly, the size of the firm is the decisive factor of this classification …

I find the idea of the very interesting series of tickets but I will have hope for a small analysis to throw a debate and not just raw data.
The following tickets should provoke ideas normally.
I remain attentive and I will come back.
    Good continuance anyway!

  2. @GuAM: thank you for this analysis really interesting. I confess to have the same official report as the crisis of subprimes but I forgot of it noted. That being said, these data concern year 2007 and therefore crisis had not made all today's dégats yet.

Deeply next year when it is possible to see the evolution of banquaires.

  3. Interesting, I even did not know Wal-mart Stores ^^ '"
What would be nice, this would be to compare this list with the beep 20 of worldwide firms by benefits. I think for example that firms as Microsoft or Google are much more profitable because the expenses are lesser (no purchase of raw materials for example. But renting of thousand servers, or) and they need fewer employees.

  4. @Godefroy: Thank you! It is envisaged is possible be tomorrow, but I still hesitate with another picture of stocks. I would make it in the feeling tomorrow;). But I think that you have just tipped the scales ^^ C’est prévu peut être demain, mais j’hésite encore avec un autre tableau de valeurs….

  5. Ouep, the classification by result would be appropriate (I cheated, I looked at result)
too much shame of me :-(
